Basically, there are two marketing formats:
  1. OUTSIDE-IN MARKETING revolves around high-cost activities such as advertising, radio, television, cold-calling campaigns, etc. 
  2. INSIDE-OUT MARKETING revolves around utilizing the clients and products you already have and expanding that market by cross-selling, up-selling and the introduction to existing client’s databases. It is cost-efficient, easy to implement with low capital outlay and quick initiation.

  • Small enhancements to a product or service that will allow the introduction of cross and up-selling as well as the introduction to new user groups.
  • Aspects of referrals, networking, and business relationship marketing.
  • Looking at the use of words and structure in advertising formats such as letters, flyers, advertising etc.
